Young Wang
CEO
Young Wang founded AppEx Networks in 2007, bringing over a decade of expertise in communication algorithm research, product design, and R&D management. He had previously worked as software architect and engineering manager with Silicon Valley leading technology companies like WebEx (acquired by Cisco) and Force10 (acquired by Dell). With a BS and MS in Computer Science from Tsinghua University, Young is driven by a vision to revolutionize Enterprise Networking.
Hao Zhuang
CTO
Hao, CTO of AppEx Networks since 2008, excels in computer networking and information security. He co-invented Zeta-TCP and other patented WAN-optimization technologies that form the basis of the CloudWAN platform. Before AppEx, he was a Sr. Software Design Engineer at Microsoft and worked with Young at Celox Networks on high-performance routers. Hao holds an MS in EE from Columbia University and a BS from the University of Science and Technology of China.
Frank Opfer
VP of Business Development
Frank Opfer is responsible for Business Development at AppEx Networks, with an emphasis on establishing new partner channels. He brings over 30 years of experience in telecommunications, including roles in Pre Sales, Sales, and Product Management to AppEx Networks. Frank earned a dual MBA degree from Kellogg School of Management and WHU, as well as a BS degree in Engineering/Information Technology.
Coco Mao
VP of Global Sales
Coco Mao oversees AppEx Networks’ sales and Marketing strategy, ensuring smooth delivery of products and services across regions. With over 16 years of global experience in technical sales, product marketing, and strategic alliances across leading ICT companies, Coco has proven expertise in streamlining processes to enhance organizational efficiency. She holds an M.Sc. in International Business from IÉSEG Paris.

Vikram leads the technical support and service delivery teams at AppEx Networks. Joining AppEx Networks in 2008, Hao Zhuang leads the company’s technical innovation as Chief Technology Officer. He previously held senior roles, including Senior Software Designer at Microsoft and Principal Architect at Celox Networks. Hao holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and brings extensive experience in system architecture and software development.

As Chief Operating Officer, Dongho Kang has been instrumental in establishing AppEx’s presence in the APAC region. With over 10 years of international marketing, sales, and business management experience, Dongho holds a BS in Public Administration and Law from Korea University. He leads global operations and drives the company’s expansion into new markets.

Key Zhang
Chief Architect
Key joined AppEx Networks in 2018 as a Software Architect, leveraging his Master’s degree in Computer Science from Tsinghua University. Under the guidance of CTO Hao Zhuang, he played a pivotal role in designing and implementing AppEx’s innovative CloudWAN solution. Key’s exceptional technical skills and contributions to the engineering team quickly led to his promotion to Chief Architect. In this role, he continues to drive the development of advanced network solutions, shaping the future of AppEx’s technology
